     Winifred Elizabeth Charlotte Alexander was born on 10 January 1891.1 She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry George Samuel Alexander and Elizabeth Collie Phoebe Webb.1 She married, firstly, Lieutenant James Matthew Stronge, son of Rt. Hon. Sir James Henry Stronge, 5th Bt. and Edith Margaret Burges, on 10 July 1917, without issue.1 She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Clarence Ivor Alistair Dubs, son of Charles Ralph Dubs, on 5 January 1920, without issue.1 She died on 18 August 1943 at age 52.2
     From 10 July 1917, her married name became Stronge.1 From 5 January 1920, her married name became Dubs.1

     Lieutenant James Matthew Stronge was born on 10 January 1891.2 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir James Henry Stronge, 5th Bt. and Edith Margaret Burges.1,3 He married Winifred Elizabeth Charlotte Alexander, daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry George Samuel Alexander and Elizabeth Collie Phoebe Webb, on 10 July 1917, without issue.1 He died in August 1917 at age 26, killed in action.1
     He fought in the First World War.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Irish Fusiliers.1

     Lt.-Col. Clarence Ivor Alistair Dubs was the son of Charles Ralph Dubs.1 He married Winifred Elizabeth Charlotte Alexander, daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry George Samuel Alexander and Elizabeth Collie Phoebe Webb, on 5 January 1920, without issue.1
     He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Ayrshire Yeomanry.1
