     Colonel Sir Thomas Anderton Salt, 2nd Bt. was born on 8 January 1863.² He is the son of Sir Thomas Salt, 1st Bt. and Emma Helen Mary Anderdon.³ He married Elinor Mary Wiggin, daughter of Sir Henry Arthur Wiggin, 2nd Bt. and Annie Sarah Cope, on 17 January 1905.² He died on 22 June 1940 at age 77.²
