     Meriel Jane McCarthy was born on 13 October 1952.¹ She is the daughter of Captain James Russell McCarthy and Jean Cecil Ashley Fetherstonhaugh.¹ She married Adrian Michael Vere Nicoll, son of Lt.-Col. Henry Morison Vere Nicoll and Joan Madden, in 1976.²
     From 1976, her married name became Vere Nicoll.

     Beatrice Ellerie Glyn was the daughter of Hon. St. Leger Richard Glyn and Florence Elizabeth Williams.^1,2 She married Major Frederick Howard Wingfield Fetherstonhaugh, son of Howard Fetherstonhaugh and Lucy Emily Wingfield-Baker, on 11 October 1888.³ She died on 15 April 1951.¹
     From 11 October 1888, her married name became Fetherstonhaugh.¹

     Ellery Fetherstonhaugh is the daughter of Major Frederick Howard Wingfield Fetherstonhaugh and Beatrice Ellerie Glyn.¹ She married Captain Edward Ralph Douro Hoare, son of William Douro Hoare and Mary Ida Lillian Rate.¹
     Her married name became Hoare.¹

     Captain Edward Ralph Douro Hoare was born in 1894 at London, England^G.² He was the son of William Douro Hoare and Mary Ida Lillian Rate.³ He married Ellery Fetherstonhaugh, daughter of Major Frederick Howard Wingfield Fetherstonhaugh and Beatrice Ellerie Glyn.¹ He died on 14 August 1936, from septicaemia.^1,2

     Herbert Howard Fetherstonhaugh was born on 9 October 1860.¹ He was the son of Howard Fetherstonhaugh and Lucy Emily Wingfield-Baker.¹ He died on 8 December 1937 at age 77, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Connaught Rangers.¹ He was Gentleman-in-Waiting to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland.¹ He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1903.¹
