     Reverend Philip Castel Sherard was born on 24 December 1767 at Huntingdon, Huntingdonshire, England.1,2 He was the son of Reverend Castel Sherard and Jane Caryer.1 He married Sarah Haughton James, daughter of Colonel Montague James and Mary Haughton, on 30 May 1796 at St. Marylebone, London, England.1,2 He died on 29 November 1814 at age 46 at Brighton, Sussex, England.1,2
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)3 He lived at Glatton, Huntingdonshire, EnglandG.1

     Sarah Haughton James was born in 1775 at Hanover, Jamaica.2 She was the daughter of Colonel Montague James and Mary Haughton.1,2 She married Reverend Philip Castel Sherard, son of Reverend Castel Sherard and Jane Caryer, on 30 May 1796 at St. Marylebone, London, England.1,2 She died on 31 December 1835.2
     From 30 May 1796, her married name became Sherard.1
