Charles Wilkinson Jones, 4th Viscount Ranelagh was the son of Charles Jones and Elizabeth Douglas.1 He married Sarah Montgomery, daughter of Thomas Montgomery and Mary Franklin, on 6 January 1761.1 He died on 20 April 1797.1
He succeeded as the 4th Baron Jones of Navan, co. Meath [I., 1628] on 16 October 1759.1 He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Ranelagh [I., 1628] on 16 October 1759.1 He held the office of Constable of Athlone Castle between 1765 and 1797.1

Captain Charles Jones, 5th Viscount of Ranelagh was born on 29 October 1761.1 He was the son of Charles Wilkinson Jones, 4th Viscount Ranelagh and Sarah Montgomery.1 He died on 20 December 1800 at age 39, on board his ship, the frigate Doris, in Plymouth Sound, unmarried.1
He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baron Jones of Navan, co. Meath [I., 1628] on 20 April 1797.1 He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Ranelagh [I., 1628] on 20 April 1797.1
