     Philip John Hamilton-Grierson was born on 13 October 1932.¹ He is the son of Philip Francis Hamilton-Grierson and Margaret Bartholomew.¹ He married Pleasaunce Cardew, daughter of Peter Gordon Cardew and Pleasaunce Anne Danger, on 10 August 1963.¹
     He gained the rank of Pilot Officer between 1951 and 1953 in the Royal Air Force.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) for services to the National Health Service.¹

     Pleasaunce Cardew was born on 31 October 1934.¹ She was the daughter of Peter Gordon Cardew and Pleasaunce Anne Danger.¹ She married Philip John Hamilton-Grierson, son of Philip Francis Hamilton-Grierson and Margaret Bartholomew, on 10 August 1963.¹ She died on 16 April 2021 at age 86 at Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.²
     Pleasaunce Cardew also went by the nick-name of Jill.¹ From 10 August 1963, her married name became Hamilton-Grierson.¹
