Sir William Courtenay, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1616.1 He was the son of Sir George Oughtred Courtenay, 1st Bt. and Catherine Berkeley.1 He died circa 1651, without surviving male issue.1
He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Courtenay, of Newcastle, co. Limerick [I., 1622] before 1651.1 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct or dormant.1
