     Charles Erskine of Alva, Lord Tinwald was baptised on 25 November 1680 at Alva, Clackmannanshire, Scotland.2,3 He was the son of Sir Charles Erskine of Alva, 1st Bt. and Christian Dundas.4,2 He married, firstly, Grizel Grierson on 21 December 1712.1,4 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Hairstanes, daughter of William Hairstanes, on 26 August 1753.4 He died on 5 April 1763 at age 82.4
     He was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1711.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dumfries between 1722 and 1741.4 He held the office of Solicitor-General [Scotland] in 1725.4 He held the office of King's Advocate in 1737.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kirkwall in 1741.4 He was styled as Lord Tinwald [Scottish Law Lord] in 1742.1 He held the office of Lord of Session [Scotland] in 1742.1 He held the office of Lord Justice Clerk in 1748.1

     Judith Hatley was born circa 1748.1 She married, firstly, Robert Wollaston before 1778.1 She married, secondly, General Sir Robert Laurie of Maxwelton, 5th Bt., son of Sir Robert Laurie of Maxwelton, 4th Bt. and Christian Erskine, on 25 April 1778 at Ipswich, Suffolk, EnglandG.1 She died on 25 January 1824 at Upper Seymour Street, London, EnglandG.1
     From before 1778, her married name became Wollaston.1 From 25 April 1778, her married name became Laurie.1

     Admiral Sir Robert Laurie of Maxwelton, 6th Bt. was born on 25 May 1764.1 He was the son of General Sir Robert Laurie of Maxwelton, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Maria Ruthven.1 He married Mary Hope.2 He died on 7 January 1848 at age 83 at Maxwelton House, Maxwelton, Dumfries-shire, ScotlandG, unmarried.1 He was buried on 14 January 1848 at Glencarse, Perthshire, ScotlandG.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy, in the H.M.S. Queen.1 He fought in the Glorious First of June on 1 June 1794, where he distinguished himself.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Laurie, of Maxwelton, co. Dumfries [N.S., 1685] on 10 September 1804.1 He fought in the action with the Ville de Milan in 1805.1 He gained the rank of Admiral in 1821.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) on 13 September 1831.1 On his death, his baronetcy became extiinct.1

Hew Angus Christopher Blair-Imrie and Margaret Wedderburn Arbuthnott, on 16 April 1966.1 He died on 22 October 2019 at age 92.3

     Captain Evan Bruce-Gardyne, 13th of Middleton was born on 21 April 1885.1 He was the son of David Greenhill Bruce-Gardyne. He married Joan McLaren, daughter of Charles Edward McLaren and Nora O'Shaughnessy, on 10 February 1926.1 He died on 24 July 1949 at age 64.1
     He was educated at H.M.S. Britannia, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.1 He was the Superintendant between 1933 and 1945 at Royal Hospital School, Holbrook, Suffolk, EnglandG.1
