     William Bolitho was born in 1815 at Madron, Cornwall, England.2 He was baptised on 31 December 1815.2 He was the son of Thomas Bolitho and Maria Harris.2 He married Mary Hichens Yonge, daughter of Walter Yonge, in 1851 at Penzance, Cornwall, England.2 He died on 6 December 1895.3 He was buried on 10 December 1895 at Gulval, Cornwall, England.2

     Hon. Mary Morwenna Bolitho McNeill was the daughter of Ronald John McNeill, 1st and last Baron Cushendun and Elizabeth Maud Bolitho.1 She married Major Philip Le Grand Gribble, son of George James Gribble and Norah Royds, on 5 June 1915.1 She died on 14 September 1924.1
     From 5 June 1915, her married name became Gribble.1
