     Sir Thomas Temple, 1st Bt. was baptised on 9 January 1566/67.2 He was the son of John Temple and Susan Spencer.2 He married Hester Sandys, daughter of Miles Sandys, in 1595.2 He died in 1637.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Andover from 1588 to 1589.2 He was created 1st Baronet Temple, of Stowe, Buckinghamshire [England] on 24 September 1611.3,2
