Hervey Harris Greathed was born on 31 August 1817.2 He was the son of Edward Greathed and Mary Elizabeth Glyn.2 He married Eliza Frances Turner, daughter of Thomas Jacob Turner, on 7 December 1844 at Agra, Bengal, India.1,2 He died on 19 September 1857 at age 40 at Delhi, India, from cholera during the siege.1,2
He held the office of Commissioner of Meerut.2 He was with the Bengal Civil Service.1

Caroline Marie Hambro was born on 13 July 1838.2 She was the daughter of Charles Joachim Hambro, Baron Hambro and Caroline Maria Gostenhofer.1 She died, in childhood.1
