Richard Charles Alexander Cavendish1

     Richard Charles Alexander Cavendish was born on 6 August 1885.1 He was the son of Reginald Richard Frederick Cavendish and Mary Constance Dupuis.1 He married Margaret Johnstone, daughter of Lt.-Col. Duncan Johnstone, on 26 May 1936.1 He died on 29 April 1941 at age 55, without issue.1
     He was appointed King's Police Medal (K.P.M.) in 1927.1 He was Inspector-General of the Kenya Police.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1939.1 He was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.)1

     Margaret Johnstone was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Duncan Johnstone.1 She married, firstly, F. O. Lyon before 1936.1 She married, secondly, Richard Charles Alexander Cavendish, son of Reginald Richard Frederick Cavendish and Mary Constance Dupuis, on 26 May 1936.1 She died on 28 July 1977.1
     From before 1936, her married name became Lyon.1 From 26 May 1936, her married name became Cavendish.1 She was appointed Dame of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.)1 She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1966.1

     He gained the rank of Captain in the Grenadier Guards.1 He fought in the First World War.1
