     Andrew Hugh John Muir was born on 28 August 1943.² He is the son of Sir John Harling Muir, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Mary Dundas.^1,3 He married, firstly, Primrose Jean Onslow How, daughter of Major Robert Boothby How and Virginia Ruth Primrose Hughes-Onslow, on 3 May 1969.² He married, secondly, Ann Mary Corbally, daughter of Air-Vice Marshal Edward John Corbally, in 1993.² He and Primrose Jean Onslow How were divorced in 1993.²
     He was educated at Gordonstoun School, Elgin, Morayshire, Scotland.² He lived in 2003 at Itchen Lodge, Itchen Abbas, Hampshire, England.²

     John Pendarves Basset was baptised on 4 January 1713.¹ He was the son of Francis Basset and Mary Pendarves.¹ He died on 25 September 1739 at age 26.¹

     Sir Richard James Kay Muir, 4th Bt. was born on 25 May 1939.² He was the son of Sir John Harling Muir, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Mary Dundas.^3,2 He married Susan Elizabeth Gardener, daughter of George Albert Gardener, on 22 May 1965.² He married, secondly, Lady Linda Mar Cole, daughter of David Lowry Cole, 6th Earl of Enniskillen and Sonia Mary Syers, on 29 August 1975.¹ He and Susan Elizabeth Gardener were divorced in 1974.² He died on 18 December 2023 at age 84 at Nakuru, Kenya.⁴
     He was educated at Trinity College, Glenalmond, Perthshire, Scotland.² He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Muir, of Deanston, co. Perth and Park Gardens, Glasgow [U.K., 1892] on 31 May 1994, but does not use the title.² He lived in 2003 at Park House, Blair Drummond, Perthshire, Scotland.²
