     Admiral Sir Albermarle Bertie, 1st Bt. was born illegitimately on 20 January 1755 at Swinstead, Lincolnshire, England.² He was the son of Sir Albermarle Bertie and Mary Coleback.^1,2 He died on 24 February 1824 at age 69 at Donnington, Berkshire, England.²
     He was Commander-in-Chief of the Cape of Good Hope between 1808 and 1810.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Bertie [U.K.] on 9 December 1812. He gained the rank of Admiral on 4 June 1814.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) on 2 January 1815.¹

     John Cator was born on 21 March 1703.¹ He was the son of Jonah Cator and Sarah Browne.¹ He married Mary Brough on 11 February 1728.¹ He died on 21 July 1763 at age 60.¹
