     Hon. Bertram Leo French was born on 15 February 1900.1 He was the son of Arthur French, 4th Baron de Freyne of Coolavin and Marie Georgiana Lamb.1 He married Maud Mary Dease, daughter of Edmund Fitzlaurence Dease and Katherine Murray, on 18 January 1927.1 He died on 11 May 1941 at age 41.1
     He was educated at The Oratory School, Edgbaston, Warwickshire, England.2 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Coldstream Guards (Special Reserves.)1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1

     From 7 April 1920, her married name became Wilkinson.
