     Margaret Lindsay was the daughter of Sir David Lindsay, Lord Edzell and Lady Helen Lindsay.1,2 A contract for the marriage of Margaret Lindsay and David Carnegie, 1st Earl of Southesk was signed on 8 October 1595.2 She died on 9 July 1614.3
     Her married name became Carnegie.

David Carnegie, 1st Earl of Southesk1

     David Carnegie, 1st Earl of Southesk was born in 1575.2 He was the son of Rt. Hon. David Carnegie of Kinnaird and Eupheme Wemyss.2 A contract for the marriage of David Carnegie, 1st Earl of Southesk and Margaret Lindsay was signed on 8 October 1595.3 He died in February 1657/58.2
     He was appointed Knight in 1603.2 He was created 1st Lord Carnegie of Kinnaird [Scotland] on 14 April 1616.4 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] in January 1616/17.2 He was Temporary President of the Scottish Council between April 1625 and May 1625.2 He held the office of Lord of Session from February 1625/26 to 1628.2 He was created 1st Earl of Southesk [Scotland] on 22 June 1633.4 He was created 1st Lord Carnegie of Kinnaird and Leuchars [Scotland] on 22 June 1633, with a special remainder to his heirs male for ever.4 He held the office of Sheriff of Forfarshire in 1646.2 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.5

     Lady Elizabeth Lindsay was the daughter of David Lindsay, 9th Earl of Crawford and Katherine Campbell.2 She married Patrick Drummond, 3rd Lord Drummond, son of David Drummond, 2nd Lord Drummond and Lilias Ruthven, before 21 October 1572.1 She died in May 1585.2
     From before 21 October 1572, her married name became Drummond.

     Patrick Drummond, 3rd Lord Drummond was born in 1550.1 He was the son of David Drummond, 2nd Lord Drummond and Lilias Ruthven.1 He married, firstly, Lady Elizabeth Lindsay, daughter of David Lindsay, 9th Earl of Crawford and Katherine Campbell, before 21 October 1572.1 He married, secondly, Agnes Drummond, daughter of Sir John Drummond, 2nd of Innerpeffray and Margaret Stewart, in 1588.1 He died after 1602.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Drummond [S., 1488] in 1571.1

Major Humphry Gerard Napier Gore1

     Major Humphry Gerard Napier Gore was born on 2 August 1916.1 He was the son of Colonel Edward John Mounsey Gore and Hon. Emilia Herbert Fullarton Napier.1 He married Leslie Marshall Peabody, daughter of Benjamin Bostwick Peabody, on 6 May 1948.1 He died on 12 September 2008 at age 92.2
     He was educated at Sherborne School, Sherborne, Dorset, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Gordons.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Ulster Rifles.1 He fought in the Malayan Campaign in 1949, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He lived in 1999 at The Red Cottage, South Park, Sevenoaks, Kent, EnglandG.1

     Alexander Lindsay, 1st Lord Spynie was born circa 1564.2 He was the son of David Lindsay, 10th Earl of Crawford and Margaret Bethune.2 He married Jean Lyon, daughter of John Lyon, 8th Lord Glamis and Hon. Elizabeth Abernethy, on 31 May 1590.1 He died circa 16 June 1607.3
     He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] in 1590.2 He was created 1st Lord Spynie [Scotland] on 4 November 1590.1
