Hester Coghill was the daughter of James Coghill and Anne Pearson.1 She married, firstly, Charles Moore, 1st and last Earl of Charleville, son of John Moore, 1st Baron Moore of Tullamore and Mary Lum, on 13 October 1737.1 She married, secondly, Major John Coghill, 1st and last Bt. after 1764.2 She died on 28 July 1789, without issue.2 She was buried on 6 August 1789 at Aldenham, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.2
From 13 October 1737, her married name became Moore.1 After her marriage, Hester Coghill was styled as Countess of Charleville on 16 September 1758. From after 1764, her married name became Mayne.2
