Sir William Richard Carter Chaytor, 2nd Bt. was born on 7 February 1805.2 He was the son of Sir William Chaytor, 1st Bt. and Isabella Carter.2 He married, firstly, Annie Lacy, daughter of unknown Lacy, on 27 September 1836.2 He married unknown Smith, daughter of John Whitney Smith, on 16 March 1852.2 He died on 9 February 1871 at age 66.2
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Durham City between 1831 and 1834.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Chaytor, of Croft, co. York [U.K., 1831] on 28 January 1847.1

John Clervaux Chaytor was born on 8 September 1806.1 He was the son of Sir William Chaytor, 1st Bt. and Isabella Carter.2 He married Lydia Frances Brown, daughter of Thomas Brown, on 30 January 1834.1 He died on 8 May 1894 at age 87.1

Maj.-Gen. Sir Edward Walter Clervaux Chaytor was born on 21 June 1868.1 He was the son of John Clervaux Chaytor and Emma Fearon.2 He married Louisa Jane Collins, daughter of Charles Sweeney Collins, on 17 October 1898.1 He died on 13 June 1939 at age 70.1
He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902, where he was severely wounded and mentioned in despatches.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.)1 He fought in the First World War, where he was twice wounded and mentioned in despatches seven times.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to HM King George V between 1917 and 1921.1 He was awarded the Order of the White Eagle of Serbia 3rd Class with swords.1 He was awarded the Order of the Nile 2nd Class.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He gained the rank of Major-General.1 He was General Officer Commanding of the New Zealand Forces between 1919 and 1924.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in 1923 in the 8th New Zealand Mounted Rifles.1
