     Lady Caroline Clements was the daughter of Rev. Hon. Francis Nathanial Clements and Charlotte King.2,1 She married John Madden, son of Colonel John Madden, on 6 October 1864.1 She died on 4 March 1914.1
     From 6 October 1864, her married name became Madden.

     Wilhelm III Herzog von Bayern-Straubing Comte de Hainaut et Graaf van Holland en Zeeland was born on 12 May 1330 at Frankfurt-am-Main, Hessen, Germany.1 He was the son of Ludwig IV von Bayern, Holy Roman Emperor and Marguerite III d'Avesnes, Comtesse de Hainaut et Gravin van Holland en Zeeland.2 He died on 15 April 1389 at age 58 at Le Quesnoy, France.1 He was buried at Valenciennes, Artois, FranceG.
     He succeeded as the Herzog von Niederbayern in 1347.3 He succeeded as the Graaf van Holland en Zeeland in 1354.2 He succeeded as the Comte de Hainaut in 1356.2 He was deposed as Count of Holland in 1358.2 He was deposed as Duke of Lower Bavaria in 1358.3

     Lawrence Dundas, 1st Earl of Zetland was born on 10 April 1766 at London, EnglandG.1,2 He was the son of Thomas Dundas, 1st Baron Dundas of Aske and Lady Charlotte FitzWilliam.1 He was baptised at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.1 He married Harriot Hale on 21 April 1794 at Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, EnglandG.1 He died on 19 February 1839 at age 72 at Aske House, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.3 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1786 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) Harriot Hale1

     Harriot Hale was born on 16 June 1769.1 She married Lawrence Dundas, 1st Earl of Zetland, son of Thomas Dundas, 1st Baron Dundas of Aske and Lady Charlotte FitzWilliam, on 21 April 1794 at Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, EnglandG.1 She died on 18 April 1834 at age 64 at 19 Arlington Street, London, EnglandG.1
     From 21 April 1794, her married name became Dundas.1 After her marriage, Harriot Hale was styled as Baroness Dundas of Aske on 14 June 1820.

     Sir William Borthwick, 3rd Lord Borthwick was the son of Sir William Borthwick, 2nd Lord Borthwick and unknown wife (?)2 He died on 9 September 1513, killed in action.3,4
     He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Borthwick [S., 1452] from 1483 to 1484.2 He was appointed Knight before 1484.2 He held the office of a Lord Auditor from 1484 to 1485.5 On 20 September 1484 he was one of the Guarantors of a treaty with England.2 He held the office of Master of the Household to King James III in 1485.5 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] in 1489.5 On 30 September 1497 he was Conservator of a treaty with England.2 On 12 July 1499 he was Conservator of another treaty with England.5 He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513.4
