Sir John Valentine Carden, 6th Bt.1

     Sir John Valentine Carden, 6th Bt. was born on 6 February 1892.1 He was the son of Sir John Craven Carden, 5th Bt. and Sybil Martha Baker.2 He married, firstly, Vera Madeleine Hervet-d’Egville, daughter of William Henry Hervet-d’Egville, on 18 September 1915.1 He and Vera Madeleine Hervet-d’Egville were divorced in 1925.1 He married, secondly, Dorothy Mary McKinnon, daughter of Charles Luckraft McKinnon, on 13 February 1925.1 He died on 10 December 1935 at age 43, killed in an aeroplane accident.1
     He gained the rank of Temporary Captain in the Royal Army Service Corps.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Carden, of Templemore, co. Tipperary [I., 1787] on 16 December 1931.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)1
