Frances Henrietta Fremantle was the daughter of John Fremantle.2 She married Rev. Hon. Archibald Hamilton Cathcart, son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Charles Schaw Cathcart, 9th Lord Cathcart and Jane Hamilton, on 3 June 1790.1 She died on 26 April 1821.1

Sir Samuel Crompton, 1st Bt. was born on 8 July 1785.2 He was the son of Samuel Crompton and Sarah Fox.2 He married Isabella Sophia Cathcart, daughter of Rev. Hon. Archibald Hamilton Cathcart and Frances Henrietta Fremantle, on 3 November 1829.3 He died on 27 December 1848 at age 63.3
He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Retford between 1818 and 1826.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Derby between 1826 and 1830.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Thirsk between 1834 and 1841.2 He was created 1st Baronet Crompton [U.K.] on 20 June 1838.3 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.2
