     Charles Henry Coote, 2nd Baron Castle Coote was born on 25 August 1754.1 He was the son of Very Rev. Charles Coote and Grace Tilson.1,2 He married Elizabeth Anne Tilson, daughter of Reverend Henry Tilson and Anne Bushe, on 22 May 1779.1,3 He died on 22 January 1823 at age 68 at Leopardstown, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) in January 1824.1
     He was educated between 1767 and 1771 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.4 He matriculated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, on 7 July 1772.4 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, in 1776 with a Bacgelor of Arts (B.A.)4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Queen's County between 1776 and 1783.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Maryborough between 1783 and 1797.1 He held the office of Genealogist to the Order of St. Patrick between 1783 and 1804.1 He was Commissioner of Barracks [Ireland] between 1788 and 1789.1 He was Commissioner of Accounts [Ireland] between 1789 and 1795.1 He was Commissioner of Customs [Ireland] between 1795 and 1799.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Maryborough between 1797 and 1802.1 He was Commissioner of Excise [Ireland] between 1799 and 1806.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)      Elizabeth Anne Tilson was the daughter of Reverend Henry Tilson and Anne Bushe.1 She married Charles Henry Coote, 2nd Baron Castle Coote, son of Very Rev. Charles Coote and Grace Tilson, on 22 May 1779.1,2 She died on 18 January 1821 at Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1
     From 22 May 1779, her married name became Coote.1 After her marriage, Elizabeth Anne Tilson was styled as Baroness Castle Coote on 2 March 1802.
