     He was styled as Viscount Ascott.¹ He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 22 April 1664.¹ He graduated from Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 8 September 1665 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹

     Hon. William Dormer was born on 25 September 1666.¹ He was the son of Charles Dormer, 2nd Earl of Carnarvon and Elizabeth Capell.¹ He was baptised on 30 September 1666 at St. Paul's Church, Covent Gardens, London, England^G.¹ He died circa April 1668.¹ He was buried on 10 April 1668 at Wing, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹

     Hon. Robert Dormer was born on 14 January 1667/68.¹ He was the son of Charles Dormer, 2nd Earl of Carnarvon and Elizabeth Capell.¹ He was baptised on 22 January 1667/68 at Wing, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ He died circa February 1668/69.¹ He was buried on 3 March 1668/69 at Wing, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹

     Lady Isabella Dormer is the daughter of Charles Dormer, 2nd Earl of Carnarvon and Elizabeth Capell.¹ She married Charles Coote, 3rd Earl of Mountrath, son of Charles Coote, 2nd Earl of Mountrath and Alice Meredyth, circa 4 August 1679.³
     From circa 4 August 1679, her married name became Coote.

     Thomas Ashton was born on 13 October 1807 at Pole Bank, Gee Cross, Hyde, Cheshire, England^G.¹ He was the son of Samuel Ashton and Mary Turner.¹ He died on 3 January 1831 at age 23, assassinated.¹ He was buried at Hyde Chapel, Cheshire, England^G.¹

     James Ashton was born on 2 July 1809 at Pole Bank, Gee Cross, Hyde, Cheshire, England^G.¹ He was the son of Samuel Ashton and Mary Turner.¹ He married, firstly, Eliza Bayley on 1 October 1834 at Stockport, Cheshire, England^G.¹ He married, secondly, Frances Caroline Cheetham in 1846 at Ashton-under-Lyne, Cheshire, England^G. He died on 6 November 1866 at age 57.¹
     He was a cotton manufaturer.¹ He lived at Highfield, Bredbury, Mimwood, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹

     Elizabeth Ashton was born in 1810 at Pole Bank, Gee Cross, Hyde, Cheshire, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel Ashton and Mary Turner.¹ She married A. Mackenzie.¹ She died on 5 December 1896.¹
     Her married name became Mackenzie.¹

     Benjamin Ashton was born on 15 November 1813 at Pole Bank, Gee Cross, Hyde, Cheshire, England^G.¹ He was the son of Samuel Ashton and Mary Turner.¹ He died on 26 December 1889 at age 76, unmarried.¹ He was buried at Hyde Chapel, Cheshire, England^G.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Chester.¹
