     Sir William Carmichael-Baillie was the son of Sir James Carmichael and Margaret Baillie.1 He died in July 1738, without issue.1
     He lived at Bonningtoun, Lanarkshire, ScotlandG.1 He styled himself as 5th Baronet Carmichael, of Bonnington, co. Lanark [N.S., 1676] on 16 July 1727.2
     On his death, his baornetcy, if it ever existed, became dormant or extinct.2

     Admiral Sir John Lockhart-Ross, 6th Bt. was born on 11 November 1721.3 He was the son of Sir James Lockhart, 2nd Bt. and Grizel Ross.3 He married Elizabeth Dundas, daughter of Rt. Hon. Robert Dundas of Arniston and Henrietta Carmichael, on 6 September 1762.1 He died on 9 June 1790 at age 68.
     He gained the title of 6th Baronet Lockhart [N.S., 1672].1

     Matilda Lockhart-Ross was the daughter of Sir Charles Lockhart-Ross, 7th Bt. and Matilda Theresa Lockhart-Wishart.1,2 She married Admiral Sir Thomas John Cochrane, son of Admiral Hon. Sir Alexander Forrester Cochrane and Maria Shaw, on 6 January 1812.1 She died on 4 September 1819.1
     From 6 January 1812, her married name became Cochrane.1

Mary Carmichael is the daughter of Sir James Carmichael, 1st Lord Carmichael and Agnes Wilkie.1 She married, firstly, Sir William Lockhart of Carstairs, son of Sir James Lockhart, 9th of the Lee and Jean Auchinleck, on 2 September 1647.1 She married by contract, secondly, Sir William Weir of Stonebyres on 31 January 1652.1
     From 2 September 1647, her married name became Lockhart.1 From 31 January 1652, her married name became Weir.1
