John Emerich Henry Lyon-Dalberg-Acton, 3rd Baron Acton of Aldenham was born on 15 December 1907.2 He was the son of Richard Maximilian Lyon-Dalberg-Acton, 2nd Baron Acton of Aldenham and Dorothy Lyon.1 He married Hon. Daphne Strutt, daughter of Robert John Strutt, 4th Baron Rayleigh of Terling Place and Lady Mary Hilda Clements, on 25 November 1931.2 He died on 23 January 1989 at age 81.2
He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, EnglandG.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Acton of Aldenham, co. Shropshire [U.K., 1869] on 16 June 1924.2 He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Acton, of Aldenham [Aldenham Hall, in Morville], Shropshire [E., 1644] on 16 June 1924.2 He succeeded as the Patrician of Naples [Italy] on 16 June 1924. He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery (Territorial Army.)2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)2 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1945.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1964.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Shropshire.2

Ehlert, on 16 December 1937.1 He died on 7 September 1946 at age 37 at Banjul, GambiaG, killed in a plane crash.1
