Sir William Seton of Pitmedden, 2nd Bt. was baptised on 6 March 1673.2 He was the son of Sir Alexander Seton of Pitmedden, 1st Bt. and Margaret Lauder.2 He married Katherine Burnett, daughter of Sir Thomas Burnett of Leys, 3rd Bt. and Hon. Margaret Arbuthnott, in 1702.1 He died in 1744, with three other daughters:.2
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Aberdeenshire between 1702 and 1708.2 He was Commissioner for the Union of Scottish and English Parliaments.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Seton, of Pitmedden, co. Aberdeen [N.S., 1684] in 1719.2

Sir Robert Burnett of Leys, 7th Bt. was born on 20 December 1755.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Burnett of Leys, 6th Bt. and Catherine Ramsay.1 He married Margaret Dalrymple-Horn-Elphinstone, daughter of General Robert Dalrymple-Horn-Elphinstone of Horn and Westhall and Mary Elphinstone, on 16 September 1785.1 He died on 5 January 1837 at age 81.1 His will was proven (by probate) in April 1838.2
