     Margaret Roper Bray is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Francis Edmond Bray and Hon. Ruth Hester Frances Scarlett.¹

     Sir John Powlett Orde, 2nd Bt. was born on 9 June 1803 at Gloucester Place, Marylebone, London, England^G.^1,2 He was the son of Admiral Sir John Orde, 1st Bt. and Jane Frere.³ He married, firstly, Eliza Woollery Campbell, daughter of Peter Campbell and Elizabeth Lois Woollery, on 15 June 1826 at Walton, Surrey, England^G.² He married, secondly, Beatrice Edwards, daughter of James Edwards and Catherine Bromhead, on 14 June 1832.³ He died on 11 December 1878 at age 75 at Kilmory House, Argyllshire, Scotland^G.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 10 April 1821.² He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Orde, of Morpeth, co. Northumberland [G.B., 1790] on 19 February 1824.¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1826 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)^1,2 In 1828 he inherited the esate of Kilmory from his first wife's father.⁴ He gained the rank of Captain in the Argyll and Bute Militia.²

     Peter Campbell was born in 1697/98.¹ He was the son of Dugald Campbell, 6th of Kilmory and Margaret Maxwell.¹ He married, firstly, Mary Barclay on 29 March 1729 at Hanover, Jamaica^G.² He married, secondly, Deborah Woodstock after May 1732 at St. Elizabeth, Jamaica^G.² He died on 8 August 1739.^1,2 He was buried at Fish River, Jamaica.²
     He was also known as Patrick.¹ He lived between 1726 and 1733 at Westmorland, England^G.² He was a planter at Fish River, Jamaica.¹

     Deborah Woodstock was born circa 1706.² She married Peter Campbell, son of Dugald Campbell, 6th of Kilmory and Margaret Maxwell, after May 1732 at St. Elizabeth, Jamaica^G.¹
     She was also known as Deborah Lewis.² From after 1732, her married name became Campbell.²

     Bessie Campbell is the daughter of Reverend Patrick Campbell and Jean McIver Campbell.¹ She married Colin Campbell of Attichuan, son of Duncan Campbell and Mary Campbell.¹

     Dugald Campbell, 6th of Kilmory was born circa 1665 at Kilmorie, Argyllshire, Scotland^G.¹ He was the son of Reverend Patrick Campbell and Jean McIver Campbell.¹ He married Margaret Maxwell, daughter of John Maxwell of Newark and Tealing and Margaret Napier of Kilnmahew, circa 1693 at Renfrewshire, Scotland^G. He died after 14 November 1733.¹

     Colonel James Campbell was born in 1693.¹ He was the son of Dugald Campbell, 6th of Kilmory and Margaret Maxwell.¹ He married Henrietta Campbell, daughter of Colin Campbell, 1st of Knockbuy and Margaret Graham.¹ He died in 1744.¹
     He was a planter at Orange Bay, Jamaica^G.¹
