Sir Charles Clow Tennant of The Glen, 1st Bt. was born on 4 November 1823. He was the son of John Tennant of St. Rollox.3 He married, firstly, Emma Winsloe, daughter of Richard Winsloe and Charlotte Monkton, on 2 August 1849. He married, secondly, Marguerite Agaranthe Miles, daughter of Colonel Charles William Miles and Maria Susannah Hill, in November 1898.1 He died on 4 June 1906 at age 82.
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Glasgow between 1879 and 1880.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Peebles and Selkirk between 1880 and 1886.3 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court in 1885.3 He was created 1st Baronet Tennant [U.K.] on 17 July 1885.4 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 4th Volunteer Battalion, Cameronians.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)3

Edward Priaulx Tennant, 1st Baron Glenconner was born on 31 May 1859.1 He was the son of Sir Charles Clow Tennant of The Glen, 1st Bt. and Emma Winsloe.1 He married Pamela Adelaide Genevieve Wyndham, daughter of Hon. Percy Scawen Wyndham and Madeline Caroline Frances Eden Campbell, on 11 July 1895.2 He died on 21 November 1920 at age 61.1

John Beauchamp, 1st Lord Beauchamp (of Somerset) was born on 25 July 1274.1 He was the son of John Beauchamp and Cicely de Vivonne.1 He married Joan Chenduit before 1301.1 He died between October 1336 and December 1336.1
He fought in the Scottish wars.1 On 17 September 1295 he had seizin of his father's lands.1 He was created 1st Lord Beauchamp, of Somerset [England by writ] on 29 December 1299.1 He was appointed Knight on 22 May 1306.1 In 1321 he suceeded to the extensive estates of his mother, including Sturminster Marshal, Dorset and Bullingham, Cambridgeshire.1 He held the office of Governor of Sturminster Castle in 1325.1
