Captain Russell Thomas Harmer was born on 5 November 1896.2 He was the son of Sir Sidney Harmer and Laura Russell Howell.3,2 He married Daphne Buxton, daughter of Edward Gurney Buxton and Laura Gurney, on 10 October 1929.1 He died on 31 October 1940 at age 43.3
