James Butler1

     James Butler was the son of William Paul Butler and Henrietta Nixon.2 He married Maria Charlton, daughter of Reverend Charles Charlton.1 He died on 2 February 1856.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Carlow.1 He lived at Broomville, County Carlow, IrelandG.1

     Charles James John Butler was born on 24 October 1852.1 He was the son of William Paul Butler and Letitia Maria Gray.2 He married Elizabeth Frances Massy Bennett, daughter of George Latham Bennett and Elizabeth Frances Massy, on 16 March 1893.1 He died on 6 February 1938 at age 85.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment.1

     From September 1879, her married name became Overend.
