Reverend Philip Hewett was born on 7 September 1799.1 He was the son of General Sir George Hewett, 1st Bt. and Julia Johnson.2 He married Anne Duff, daughter of General Sir James Duff and Basilia Dawes, on 10 December 1828.1 He died on 15 December 1879 at age 80.1

Alexander Duff, 3rd Earl Fife was born on 18 April 1731.2 He was the son of William Duff, 1st Earl Fife and Jean Grant.1 He married Mary Skene, daughter of George Skene, 18th of Skene, on 17 August 1775 at Carriston, Angus, ScotlandG.3 He died on 17 April 1811 at age 79 at Duff House, Banffshire, ScotlandG.2

Cavan [I., 1735] on 17 April 1811.3 He succeeded as the 4th Earl Fife [I., 1759] on 17 April 1811.3 He succeeded as the 4th Viscount MacDuff [I., 1759] on 17 April 1811.3 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Banffshire between 1813 and 1856.3 He gained the rank of Major-General in the Spanish Army, during the Peninsular Wars.3 He was awarded the Knight, Order of San Fernando of Spain.3 He was awarded the Order of Sword of Sweden.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)
