Very Rev. Robert Darley Waddilove was born in November 1736.2 He was the son of Abel Darley.3 He married Ann Hope Grant, daughter of Sir Ludovick Grant of Grant, 7th Bt. and Lady Margaret Ogilvy, on 3 April 1781 at St. Marylebone Parish Church, St. Marylebone, London, EnglandG.3 He died on 18 August 1828 at age 91.2
He was given the name of Robert Darley at birth.3 Circa 1762 his name was legally changed to Robert Darley Waddilove after inheriting property at Boroughbridge from his uncle, Roebrt Waddilove.3 He held the office of Dean of Ripon between 1791 and 1828.1,2 He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)4
