Alice Mary Clifford was born on 26 November 1862.1 She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir Henry Hugh Clifford, V.C. and Josephine Elizabeth Anstice.2 She married Sir Walter Hamilton-Dalrymple of North Berwick, 8th Bt., son of Sir John Warrender Dalrymple of North Berwick, 7th Bt. and Sophia Ricketts Pattle, on 7 November 1882.1 She died on 8 April 1927 at age 64.1

Hon. Francis Hepburne-Scott was born on 31 January 1806.1 He was the son of Hugh Hepburne-Scott, 6th Lord Polwarth and Harriet Brühl. He married Julia Frances Laura Boultbee, daughter of Reverend Charles Boultbee and Laura Wyndham, on 22 July 1835.1 He died on 9 March 1884 at age 78.1
He was given the name of Francis Scott at birth.1 In December 1820 his name was legally changed to Francis Hepburne-Scott when his father inherited his cousin James Hepburne of Humbie's estate.1 He was a practising barrister.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Roxburghshire between 1841 and 1847.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Berwickshire between 1847 and 1863.1

Sir Thomas Cave, 5th Bt. was born on 27 May 1712.2 He was the son of Sir Thomas Cave, 3rd Bt. and Hon. Margaret Verney.3 He was baptised on 4 June 1712 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, EnglandG.4 He married Elizabeth Davies, daughter of Griffith Davies and Elizabeth Burgoyne, in 1736.2 He died on 7 August 1778 at age 66.1 He was buried at Stanford, Northamptonshire, EnglandG.4
He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Cave, of Stanford, co.
