     William Henry Vanderbilt was born on 8 May 1821 at New Brunswick, New Jersey, U.S.A.^G.² He was the son of Cornelius Vanderbilt and Sophia Johnson.¹ He married Maria Louisa Kissam in 1841.² He died on 8 December 1885 at age 64.² He was buried at Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp, Staten Island, New York City, New York, U.S.A.^G.²

     Maria Louisa Kissam was born in 1821.¹ She married William Henry Vanderbilt, son of Cornelius Vanderbilt and Sophia Johnson, in 1841.² She died in 1896.¹
     From 1841, her married name became Vanderbilt.¹

     Cornelius Jeremiah Vanderbilt was born in 1830.² He was the son of Cornelius Vanderbilt and Sophia Johnson.¹ He died in 1882, by committing suicide.²

     Cornelius Vanderbilt II was born on 27 November 1843.² He was the son of William Henry Vanderbilt and Maria Louisa Kissam.¹ He married Alice Claypoole Gwynne, daughter of Abraham Gwynne.¹ He died on 12 September 1899 at age 55.²
