Sir Robert Jenkinson, 1st Bt. was born circa 1621.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Jenkinson and Anne Maria Lee.1 He married Mary Bankes, daughter of Sir John Bankes and Mary Hawtrey, before 1653. He died on 30 March 1677.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Oxfordshire in 1625.2 He was created 1st Baronet Jenkinson, of Walcot, co. Oxford and Hawkesbury, co. Gloucester [England] on 18 May 1661.3
