Henry George Boston was born in 1863 at Tumut, New South Wales, AustraliaG.1 He married Maria Margaret Roe, daughter of Frederick Merrett Roe and Harriet T. Purcell, on 22 May 1895 at Adelong, New South Wales, AustraliaG.1
He was the son of a free settler who arrived in Australia from Suffolk, Eng.,
in 1854 and settled in Adelong (NSW) in about 1861. In the 1870's, the family
set up a wheelwrighting and coach-building business, and as his sons and sons-
in-law grew older, they were each taken into the business, 2 as blacksmiths,
2 as wheelwrights, and one as a coach painter. The coaches, sulkies, and
spring carts were noted for their quality and durability, but the advent of
the authomobile caused the eventual decline of the business.1 He was Wheelwright.1

Percy Daniel Boston was born on 9 May 1897 at Adelong, New South Wales, AustraliaG.1 He was the son of Henry George Boston and Maria Margaret Roe.1 He married Miriam Violet Beegling on 4 March 1924 at Tumut, New South Wales, AustraliaG.1 He died on 18 October 1966 at age 69 at Adelong, New South Wales, AustraliaG.1
Percy was only 13 when his father died, and he had to leave school to
help support the family. Because the family business had fallen on
tough times, he commenced work carrying a butcher's basket, delivering
meat to the gold mining camps in the district. He then joined the
postal office as a telegraph messenger for a short time before beginning
as a junior in a general store in Adelong (NSW), Australia. It wasn't
long before he began to have ambitions to own his own store. World War
I intervened, however, and he served in France and Belgium where he was
wounded in late 1917 and invalided home. From 1917-1923, he helped his
mother and sisters run the confectionery store in Adelong. In 1923, he
bought out the 'Red Store' in Adelong, which he expanded over the years
into quite profitable business. He retired in 1959.1
