     Benjamin Stanley Young was born on 13 December 1851 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ He was the son of Simon Young and Mary Buffett Christian.¹ He married Rebecca Holman Ascension McCoy, daughter of Matthew McCoy and Margaret Christian, on 20 October 1873 at Pitcairn Island^G.² He died circa August 1934 at Pitcairn Island^G, from lockjaw after stepping on a sharp stick. He was buried on 16 August 1934 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹
     He held the office of Chief Magistrate of Pitcairn Island between 1884 and 1885.³ He held the office of Chief Magistrate of Pitcairn Island in 1892.³ Ben was among the 2nd wave of returnees from Norfolk to Pitcairn in 1864. He had travelled from Pitcairn to Norfolk in July of 1872, but did not stay. He returned to Pitcairn in September of 1873 to marry Rebecca to whom he had been engaged for some time.      Rebecca Holman Ascension McCoy was born on 5 April 1853 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of Matthew McCoy and Margaret Christian.¹ She married Benjamin Stanley Young, son of Simon Young and Mary Buffett Christian, on 20 October 1873 at Pitcairn Island^G.² She died on 3 January 1907 at age 53 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹
     In 1859 she was among the first wave of returnees from Norfolk to Pitcairn.¹ From 20 October 1873, her married name became Young.²

     Mercy Dora Young was born on 28 February 1873 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of Benjamin Stanley Young and Rebecca Holman Ascension McCoy.¹

     Edward Christian was born on 21 July 1870 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ He was the son of Elias Christian and Mary Elizabeth Young.¹ He married Margaret Lucy Young, daughter of Benjamin Stanley Young and Rebecca Holman Ascension McCoy, at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ He was buried on 14 November 1930 at Tahiti^G.¹
