     Sir William Russell, 1st Bt. was born circa 1575.1 He was the son of William Russell and Joan Sanders. He married, thirdly, Elizabeth Smallpage, daughter of Michael Smallpage. He married Elizabeth Cherry, daughter of Sir Francis Cherry, after 1605. He married Elizabeth Gerard, daughter of Thomas Gerard, before 1618. He died circa January 1653/54.1
     He was director of the East India Company between 1615 and 1618. He held the office of Navy Treasurer between 1618 and 1627. He was appointed Knight on 29 April 1618. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for New Windsor in 1626. He was created 1st Baronet Russell, of Chippenham, co. Cambridge [England] on 9 January 1629.1 He held the office of Navy Treasurer between 1630 and 1642.

     Lady Henrietta Cavendish Holles was born on 11 February 1693/94.1 She was the daughter of John Holles, 1st and last Duke of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Lady Margaret Cavendish.3 She married Edward Harley, 2nd Earl of Oxford, son of Robert Harley, 1st Earl of Oxford and Elizabeth Foley, on 31 August 1713 at Wimpole, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG. She died on 9 December 1755 at age 61.1
     From 31 August 1713, her married name became Harley.1
