William de Percy was born circa 1193 at Alnwick, Northumberland, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Henry de Percy and Isabel de Brus.2 He married, secondly, Ellen de Balliol, daughter of Ingram de Balliol and unknown daughter de Berkeley.3 He married, firstly, Joan de Briwere, daughter of William de Briwere and Beatrice de Vaux, circa 1223 in a Warwick, Warwickshire, England marriage.2 He died before 28 July 1245.2 He was buried at Sallay Abbey, Craven, Yorkshire, EnglandG.2
In 1221 he was with King Henry III at the taking of William de Forz's castle at Biham, Lincolnshire.1
