     Mary Machin was born at Pakefield, Suffolk, England^G.¹ She is the daughter of Thomas Machin.¹ She married Reverend John Christian, son of Reverend Humphrey Christian and Elizabeth Brett.²
     Her married name became Christian.²

     Anne Barry was the daughter of James Barry, 1st Baron Barry of Santry and Catharine Parsons.^1,2 She married, firstly, Stephen Butler, son of Sir Stephen Butler and Mary Brindsley, on 29 May 1660.² She married, secondly, Hon. Raymond FitzMaurice, son of Patrick FitzMaurice, 17th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw and Honor FitzGerald, after 1662.¹ She died in March 1681.¹
     From 29 May 1660, her married name became Butler.² From after 1662, her married name became FitzMaurice.¹

     Elizabeth Kenny is the daughter of Henry Kenny.¹ She married Hon. Raymond FitzMaurice, son of Patrick FitzMaurice, 17th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw and Honor FitzGerald.¹
     Her married name became FitzMaurice.¹

     Henry Kenny lived at Kenny's Hall, County Wexford, Ireland^G.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)¹

     John Mills was born on 21 April 1749 at Carnie by Huntly, Scotland^G.¹ He was baptised on 29 April 1749.¹ He died on 20 September 1793 at age 44 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹
     He gained the rank of Gunner's Mate in the Royal Navy, on board H.M.A.V. Bounty.¹ He and Vahineatua (?) were associated circa 1789 at Pitcairn Island^G.²
     He was the oldest of the Bounty mutineers. His early history suggests a sadistic bully-boy. On H.M.S. Mediator, he was known to send midshipmen on fools' errands in order to steal their food. Mills was indeed a mystery. His record on board the Bounty was exemplary. The only log
record against him records his refusal to dance, which cost him his ration of grog. He was apparently a guard to the party that arrested Bligh during the mutiny. His daughter indicated that he was the Pitcairner who most grieved at the destruction of the Bounty, which had been their home for so long. Until that time, and even up to his death, he never quite gave up the hope that he would someday return to England, even if it had to be at the risk of his own life. Mills, of all the mutineers, can be said to have made a fatal, and perhaps very wrong, choice, a choice he lived to regret. His short life on Pitcairn, however, was well above average. He was truly surprised when attacked by the Tahitian men, as he felt he had a good relationship with them.¹

     Margaret Neville was born before 1471.¹ She married John Huddlestone.¹

     Elizabeth Mills was born in 1792 at Pitcairn Island^G.² She was the daughter of John Mills and Vahineatua (?)¹ She married, firstly, Matthew Quintal, son of Matthew Quintal and Tevarua (?), in 1811 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ She married, secondly, William Young, son of Edward Young and Toofaiti (?), in 1823 at Pitcairn Island^G.² She died on 6 November 1883 at Pitcairn Island^G.²
     Elizabeth Mills also went by the nick-name of Betsy.¹ In 1800 she witnessed the murder of Matt Quintal by John Adams and Ned Young.² From 1811, her married name became Quintal.² From 1823, her married name became Young.² She emigrated to Pitcairn Island^G arriving on 1864 from Norfolk Island.²

     Vahineatua (?) was born at Tahiti^G.² She died before 1809 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹
     She was also known as Paraha Iti (?)¹ Vahineatua (?) also went by the nick-name of Prudence (?)¹ She was also known as Balhadi (?)¹ She and John Mills were associated circa 1789 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ She and John Adams were associated at Pitcairn Island^G.¹

     Tevarua (?) was born in 1774 at Tahiti^G.² She died in 1799 at Pitcairn Island^G.²
     Tevarua (?) also went by the nick-name of 'Big Sully' (?)¹ Tevarua (?) also went by the nick-name of Sarah (?)¹ She and Matthew Quintal were associated circa 1789 at Pitcairn Island^G.³

     William Young was born in 1799 at Pitcairn Island^G.² He was the son of Edward Young and Toofaiti (?)¹ He married Elizabeth Mills, daughter of John Mills and Vahineatua (?), in 1823 at Pitcairn Island^G.² He died on 6 February 1839 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹
     He was a strong opponent of Joshua Hill.²
