     Mary Quintal was born on 24 March 1876 at Norfolk IslandG.1 She was the daughter of Cornelius Quintal and Ellen Amelia Moore.2 She married, firstly, Holder Brownell Christian, son of Jacob Christian and Maria Elizabeth Quintal, on 14 November 1893 at Norfolk IslandG.2 She married, secondly, Charles Henry Evans, son of William Henry Hodgson Evans and Rachel Quintal, on 20 March 1926.2 She died on 21 January 1957 at age 80 at Norfolk Island.3
     From 14 November 1893, her married name became Christian.2 From 1926, her married name became Evans.2
