Albert Fortescue Stewart was born at Athenree, County Tyrone, IrelandG.1 He was the son of Sir John Marcus Stewart, 3rd Bt. and Annie Coote Houghton.1,2 He married Marguerite Minnie Eva Christian, daughter of Rt. Hon. Jonathan Whitby Christian and Mary Christian Thomas, on 3 July 1902.3 He died on 25 November 1925, without issue.4

Sir John Marcus Stewart, 3rd Bt. was born on 19 November 1830.2 He was the son of Sir Hugh Stewart, 2nd Bt. and Julia Gage.3 He married Annie Coote Houghton, daughter of George Powell Houghton, on 1 December 1856.2 He died on 26 February 1905 at age 74.2
He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Stewart, of Athenree, co. Tyrone [U.K., 1803] on 19 November 1854.2 He gained the rank of officer in the 6th Dragoons.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Tyrone in 1858.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Tyrone.2
