Lt.-Col Robert Michael Smith Annesley1

     Lt.-Col Robert Michael Smith Annesley was born on 21 November 1825.1 He was the son of Captain Francis Charles Annesley and Mary Radcliffe.1 He married Jane Hume Anderson, daughter of Sir George Anderson, on 24 July 1866.1 He died on 13 December 1887 at age 62.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Bengal Army.1

     Lady Joan Neville was the daughter of Richard de Neville, 5th Earl of Salisbury and Alice Montagu, Countess of Salisbury.1 She married William Fitzalan, 9th/16th Earl of Arundel, son of John d'Arundel, 6th/13th Earl of Arundel and Eleanor Berkeley, after 17 August 1438.1 She died before 9 September 1462.1 She was buried at Arundel Castle, Arundel, Sussex, EnglandG.2
     From after 17 August 1438, her married name became Fitzalan.1 After her marriage, Lady Joan Neville was styled as Countess of Arundel on 3 December 1441.

     Cicely Neville was the daughter of Richard de Neville, 5th Earl of Salisbury and Alice Montagu, Countess of Salisbury.1 She married, firstly, Henry de Beauchamp, 1st Duke of Warwick, son of Richard de Beauchamp, 13th Earl of Warwick and Isabel le Despenser, in 1434.2 She and John Tiptoft, 1st Earl of Worcester obtained a marriage license on 3 April 1449.2 She died on 28 July 1450.2 She was buried on 31 July 1450 at Tewkesbury Abbey, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1
     After her marriage, Cicely Neville was styled as Countess of Warwick on 30 April 1439. After her marriage, Cicely Neville was styled as Duchess of Warwick on 5 April 1445. She held the office of Sheriff of Worcestershire in 1449.2 From 3 April 1449, her married name became Tiptoft.2 After her marriage, Cicely Neville was styled as Countess of Worcester on 16 July 1449.

Henry de Beauchamp, 1st Duke of Warwick1

     Henry de Beauchamp, 1st Duke of Warwick was born on 22 March 1424/25.2 He was the son of Richard de Beauchamp, 13th Earl of Warwick and Isabel le Despenser.3 He married Cicely Neville, daughter of Richard de Neville, 5th Earl of Salisbury and Alice Montagu, Countess of Salisbury, in 1434.1 He died on 11 June 1445 at age 20, without male issue.1
     He succeeded as the Comte d'Aumale on 30 April 1439.2 He succeeded as the 14th Earl of Warwick [E., 1088] on 30 April 1439.4 He succeeded as the 6th Lord Burghersh [E., 1330] on 27 December 1439.5 He was created 1st Duke of Warwick [England] on 5 April 1445.1,2 On his death his dukedom became extinct.4 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.6

     John Tiptoft, 1st Earl of Worcester was born on 8 May 1427.1 He was the son of John Tiptoft, 1st Lord Tiptoft and Joyce de Cherleton.1 He and Cicely Neville obtained a marriage license on 3 April 1449.2 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Greyndour, daughter of Robert Greyndour and Joan Rugge, after 10 June 1451.3 He married, thirdly, Elizabeth Hopton, daughter of Thomas Hopton and Eleanor Lucy, circa September 1467 at Ludlow, Shropshire, EnglandG.3 He died on 18 October 1470 at age 43 at Tower Hill, The City, London, EnglandG, beheaded.3 He was buried at Church of Blackfriars, Ludgate, EnglandG.3

Jane Hume Anderson1

     Jane Hume Anderson was the daughter of Sir George Anderson.1 She married, firstly, Lt.-Col Robert Michael Smith Annesley, son of Captain Francis Charles Annesley and Mary Radcliffe, on 24 July 1866.1 She married, secondly, Maj.-Gen Edmund Charles Layard, son of General William Twistleton Layard and Catherine Anne Sargent, on 9 April 1889.1 She died on 6 May 1901.1
     From 24 July 1866, her married name became Annesley.1 From 9 April 1889, her married name became Layard.1

     Maj.-Gen Edmund Charles Layard was born on 18 September 1838.2 He was the son of General William Twistleton Layard and Catherine Anne Sargent.2 He married, firstly, Effie Thomas, daughter of Francis E. Thomas and Emily Christian, on 4 November 1871.2 He married, secondly, Jane Hume Anderson, daughter of Sir George Anderson, on 9 April 1889.1
     He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the 15th East Yorkshire Regiment.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2

     Lt.-Col. Arthur Stephen Robert Annesley was born on 12 January 1869.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col Robert Michael Smith Annesley and Jane Hume Anderson.1 He married Kate Talbot Howey, daughter of Maj.-Gen. William Howey, on 5 December 1895.1 He died on 28 June 1939 at age 70.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Indian Army.1 He gained the rank of Brevet Colonel in the Indian Army.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919.1
