     Leopold Arthur Bingham Gipps was the son of Major Henry Gipps.¹ He married Eleanor Marian Shaw, daughter of Reverend Robert John Shaw and Ella de Visme Thomas, on 27 January 1904.¹ He died on 5 February 1959.¹

     Major Henry Gipps gained the rank of Major in the 9th Regiment.¹
