     General Hon. Sir. Alan Richard Montagu-Stuart-Wortley was born on 20 January 1868.² He was the son of Hon. Francis Dudley Montagu-Stuart-Wortley and Maria Elizabeth Martin.² He married Hon. Maud Julia Mary Winn, daughter of Rowland Winn, 1st Baron Saint Oswald of Nostell and Harriet Maria Amelia Dumaresq, on 31 May 1900.² He died on 23 September 1949 at age 81.²
