Jennifer Home-Rigg is the daughter of John Brougham Home-Rigg.2 She married, firstly, Gerald Percy, son of Lord William Richard Percy and Mary Campbell Swinton, on 30 October 1954.1 She and Gerald Percy were divorced in 1975.1 She married, secondly, John Crichton-Stuart, 6th Marquess of the County of Bute, son of John Crichton-Stuart, 5th Marquess of the County of Bute and Lady Eileen Beatrice Forbes, on 12 November 1978.2
Her married name became Percy. From 12 November 1978, her married name became Crichton-Stuart. After her marriage, Jennifer Home-Rigg was styled as Marchioness of Bute on 12 November 1978. John Poulett, 5th Earl Poulett was born on 5 July 1783.1 He was the son of John Poulett, 4th Earl Poulett and Sophia Pocock.2 He married Charlotte Fanny Portman, daughter of Henry Berkeley Portman and Hon. Lucy Elizabeth Dormer, on 28 August 1820.3 He died on 20 June 1864 at age 80, without surviving issue.1
