Sir John Leslie of Wardis, 1st Bt. was the son of John Leslie, 5th of Wardis and Jane Crichton.2 He married Elspeth Gordon, daughter of John Gordon of Newton.2 He died in 1640.3
He was created 1st Baronet Leslie, of Wardis, co. Aberdeen [Nova Scotia] on 1 September 1625, with special remainder to heirs male whatsoever.2

George Bannerman was the son of Alexander Bannerman of Elsick and Marion Hamilton.1 He married Elizabeth of Bachilton, daughter of Oliphant of Bachilton.1 He died in 1690, without issue.1

Elizabeth Bannerman was the daughter of Sir Alexander Bannerman of Elsick, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Sedgwick.1 She married Sir Alexander Ramsay of Balmain, 1st Bt., son of Sir Thomas Burnett of Leys, 6th Bt. and Catherine Ramsay, on 8 October 1782 at East Harlsey, Yorkshire, England.1,2 She was also reported to have been married on 14 October 1782.3 She died on 11 December 1844.3
From 8 October 1782, her married name became Ramsay.1 They had five other daughters.3 She lived at Strachan, ScotlandG.1
