Sir Bourchier Wrey, 6th Bt.1

     Sir Bourchier Wrey, 6th Bt. was born circa 1714.2 He was the son of Sir Bourchier Wrey, 5th Bt. and Diana Rolle.3 He married, firstly, Mary Edwards, daughter of John Edwards, on 10 July 1749.4 He married, secondly, Ellen Thresher, daughter of John Thresher and Ellen Long, on 8 May 1755 at St. Barthomews, Corsham, Wiltshire, EnglandG.2 He died on 13 April 1784.2
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Wrey, of Trebitch, Cornwall [E., 1628] on 12 November 1726.4 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1745 in the North Devon Militia.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Barnstaple between 1749 and 1754.4

     Anne Palk was born circa 1763.2 She was the daughter of Sir Robert Palk, 1st Bt. and Anne Vansittart.1 She married Sir Bourchier Wrey, 7th Bt., son of Sir Bourchier Wrey, 6th Bt. and Ellen Thresher, on 14 March 1786 at Shottesbrook, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 She died on 5 September 1791.2
     From 14 March 1786, her married name became Wrey.1

     Lawrence Palk, 1st Baron Haldon was born on 5 January 1818 at London, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Sir Lawrence Palk, 3rd Bt. and Anna Eleanora Wrey.1 He married Maria Harriett Hesketh, daughter of Sir Thomas Henry Hesketh, 4th Bt. and Annette Maria Bomford, on 15 May 1845 at Rufford, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He died on 22 March 1883 at age 65.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for South Devon between February 1854 and 1868.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Palk, of Haldon House, in Haldon, co. Devon [G.B., 1782] on 16 May 1860.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Devon between 1868 and 1880.1 He was created 1st Baron Haldon, of Haldon, co. Devon [U.K.] on 29 May 1880.1

     Maria Harriett Hesketh was born circa 1825.2 She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Henry Hesketh, 4th Bt. and Annette Maria Bomford.1 She married Lawrence Palk, 1st Baron Haldon, son of Sir Lawrence Palk, 3rd Bt. and Anna Eleanora Wrey, on 15 May 1845 at Rufford, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 She died on 18 December 1905.3
     From 15 May 1845, her married name became Palk.1 After her marriage, Maria Harriett Hesketh was styled as Baroness Haldon on 29 May 1880.1

     Sir Thomas Henry Hesketh, 4th Bt. was born on 11 February 1799.2 He was the son of Sir Thomas Dalrymple Hesketh, 3rd Bt. and Sophia Hinde.2 He married Annette Maria Bomford, daughter of Robert Bomford and Maria Massy-Dawson, on 3 April 1824 at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.2 He died on 10 February 1843 at age 43.2
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Hesketh, of Rufford, co. Lancaster [G.B., 1761] on 27 July 1842.2

     Annette Maria Bomford was the daughter of Robert Bomford and Maria Massy-Dawson.1,2 She married Sir Thomas Henry Hesketh, 4th Bt., son of Sir Thomas Dalrymple Hesketh, 3rd Bt. and Sophia Hinde, on 3 April 1824 at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.2 She died on 17 December 1879.2
     From 3 April 1824, her married name became Hesketh.2
