     Captain Hugh John Elphinstone Carmichael-Anstruther was born on 27 November 1875.1 He was the son of Windham George Conway Carmichael-Anstruther and Ellen Anne Katharine Adam.1 He married Ada Marie Clark, daughter of Thomas Clark, on 11 September 1906.1 He died on 6 January 1960 at age 84.1
     He fought in the Second Matabele War.1 He fought in the Relief of Rhodesia in 1896.1 He fought in the Boer War.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers.1

     From 11 September 1906, her married name became Carmichael-Anstruther.1

John Christopher Robert Swann, son of Very Rev. Robert Swann, on 6 February 1888.1 She and Maj.-Gen. John Christopher Robert Swann were divorced in 1898.1 She died on 25 January 1925.1
     From 6 February 1888, her married name became Swann.1

     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Indian Army.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1
