     Sir Joseph Andrews, 1st Bt. was born on 30 October 1727.1 He was the son of Joseph Andrews and Elizabeth Beard.1 He was baptised at St. George's Church, Bloomsbury, London, EnglandG.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Phillips, daughter of Richard Phillips, on 9 May 1762.2 He died on 29 December 1800 at age 73 at Shaw Place, Shaw, Berkshire, EnglandG, without issue.2 He was buried on 7 January 1801 at Shaw, Berkshire, EnglandG.2
     He gained the rank of Major in the Berkshire Militia.2 He was created 1st Baronet Andrews, of Shaw, co. Berks [Great Britain] on 19 August 1766, with a special remainder to his brother, James Petit Andrews.1

     Joseph Andrews was born circa 1691.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Beard, daughter of Samuel Beard.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Pettit, daughter of John Pettit, on 21 March 1734/35 at St. Paul's Cathedral, The City, London, EnglandG.2 He died in April 1753.1
     He held the office of Paymaster-General of the Forces.1 He lived in 1749 at Shaw Place, Shaw, Berkshire, EnglandG.1

     Her married name became Dalrymple.1 From 9 May 1762, her married name became Andrews.1
